Day 4: Lascaux & shopping & dinner, oh my!

We toured the replica caves at Lascaux this morning, but I didn’t get much in the way of photos. The tour and visitor center were great — organized, informative, and lovely.

We did not buy any overpriced Lascaux liqueurs.

On our way back we stopped for a few things at Auchon (somewhere between Walmart and Target on the big box store spectrum) and happened upon these in the t-shirt section:

Back at the house, we had a little aperitif with neighbors before heading up to dinner. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1fhz9VlVYHEwjDqI62Tb348OHI4wRUTD3
The restaurant just up at the top of the hill has new owners and a wonderfully eclectic menu. My starter was a goat cheese burrata with a tomato tapenade. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1b5j8zCcv0MklVFq6IYYPVN70Fo5mqHEM
My main was less picturesque (still delicious!), and my dessert was an apricot “soup.” Yum. https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1IeklI1604mUhJ0DP1fZhcvfp9KS3V1Tk
Tomorrow, the market in Brantôme!
